Nikki Yun - Founder and Event Organiser
Nikki is a General Intensive Care Nurse at St George's Foundation Trust Hospital, and gratuated with a 1st class degree in Adult Nursing at Kingston University, and is also a graduate Nutritionst. Nikki has won two prestigious awards, 'Most Inspirational Student Nurse of the Year' award through the Student Nursing Times Award and also the 'Rising Star' award through The Nursing Times in 2015. In 2017, she was awarded with an Honorary Senior Lecturer post at Kingston University. Her commitment and passion to student education continues following her graduation. She believes there's a lot more to nursing than the four walls in a lecture room and that opportunities to support students to develop their ideas, share experiences and learning from peers is by far the best way for self and professional development.

Maria Francisca Linhares Carrilho da Silva Mota - Student Partner

Maria is a final year PGDip Children's Nursing student from King’s College London. Maria completed her undergraduate in Biomedical Sciences and worked as a Paediatric Physiotherapy Assistant before she decided to follow her passion: Nursing.  She is currently looking at paediatric band 5 rotation programmes in London, and also has a special interest in Neonatology, which she may pursue later in her nursing career. Maria is very excited about being a student partner at this congress and is looking forward to meet you all. This congress will provide a unique opportunity to expand students’ knowledge in regards to nursing education, care and practice. She believes it is important to take opportunities like this to develop students ideas, learn from some of the most brilliant nurses of today, and share their experiences of nursing.

Emily Davis - Student Partner
Emily is a third year adult student nurse at Kingston and St Georges University of London. She chose to study nursing as she has a passion for innovation and change, and wanted to support patients' and their families through their healthcare journey. She aspires to work in chronic pain services in the future however, on qualifying; she plans to work in acute surgery and medicine, particularly in an Acute Assessment Unit or in Theatres. Emily also wants to further her studies by completing her mental health training in the future to improve her understanding of mental health nursing. Emily has previously participated in SNAPcon - a Student Nurse Academic Partnership conference in the last two years. She chose to participate in this congress as she is interested in intra- disciplinary working and collaboration.

Ewout van Sabben - Student Partner
Ewout is a 32 year old Dutch born, Slough living, third year’s child nursing student at the University of West London. He’s worked in healthcare for over 15 years, mainly with people with disabilities. In his first year of nursing he set up a nursing society within UWL and this has now expanded to include midwifery and public health students. Through the society he’s been able to organise social events, nights out as well as guest lectures, enabling him to engage with a lot of fellow healthcare students. Becoming an active member of the RCN by becoming an Student Information Officer also created opportunities for him to meet leading professionals within the nursing field and is getting involved in organising educational student led events. After graduating Ewout looks to work within the acute/critical field, hoping to specialise in learning disability and/or mental health at some point in his career.
